Welcome to my website!  

 

I am so glad you came to visit my site. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the Roanoke Virginia, Smith Mountain Lake area.  The mountains are my home and you will see them in many of my paintings.   

 

You will also  find that my art is mainly impressionistic and sometimes expressionistic. I love color and the workings of light upon the color.  I am quite fascinated by the workings of shadows with the push and pull of warm and cool colors.   My love is that of portraits, though I will frequently do landscapes and I love to do animal portraits.  You will find that my mediums of choice are acrylics and oils, though my first love was pastel portraiture.

I started my journey in art at a very young age and developed my skill as I progressed in age. I graduated from Radford University with a Graphics Art Degree and later developed my portraiture skills through many courses with well-known artists and miles and miles on the paintbrush.
